Company History

Phister Equipment Company was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1937 by Frank Miles (originally called Miles Equipment Co.) as a Manufacturers' Representative selling electrical and technical equipment. Joe Phister joined the company in the early 50's, and later became our second President, at which time the company name was changed to Phister Equipment Co. Charlie McDonald joined the company in 1974, and became the third company President in 1985. This is also the year in which we moved our office from downtown Cincinnati to a location in the northern suburbs of Cincinnati. We are a charter member of MANA, the Manufacturers' Agents National Association.

Coverage Area
Our coverage area includes most of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky for all product lines, and portions of West Virginia and Tennessee for some lines.

Sales Personnel
Our sales staff consists of Charlie McDonald and  Dave Lewis, assisted by our office manager and inside sales person, Judy Sutter. Charlie has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and over 30 years of experience selling industrial products. Dave Lewis has a BS degree in Industrial Engineering, and over 30 years industrial sales experience. Judy has over 20 years of inside sales and office management experience.
